About
“Whether I’m helping a teenager navigate their smile journey or simply making someone laugh in the chair, my goal is to make every patient feel seen, heard, and genuinely cared for. I’m honored to join a team that values community, connection, and clinical excellence – and I can’t wait to be part of your orthodontic journey.” – Dr. Ryan McGovern
Dr. McGovern brings a thoughtful, whole-person approach to orthodontics, driven by a deep belief in the power of empathy, listening, and intentional care. Born in Houston but raised across several states, Dr. McGovern developed an early appreciation for different cultures, cuisines, and communities – from snowboarding in Michigan to savoring crawfish étouffée in Louisiana.
A proud graduate of Texas A&M University, Dr. McGovern earned his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Business before attending the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors. He then completed his orthodontic residency and Master of Science in Dentistry at the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. Dr. McGovern has also obtained specialized training in aligner therapy.
Outside the office, Dr. McGovern is a hands-on creative and lifelong learner. He enjoys woodworking, sports, cooking (ask him about his crème brûlée), reading, and exploring new hobbies. Whether he’s spending time with family or diving into his next DIY project, Dr. McGovern brings the same thoughtfulness and energy to life that he brings to every patient interaction.
