Dr. Anika Rodgers
Dr. Rodgers is a graduate of Texas A&M University, has a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Texas A&M College of Dentistry. After dental school she did her post graduate training in orthodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center Houston, followed up with a one-year Cleft palate/Craniofacial fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston.
Presently, Dr. Rodgers is an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine Division of Plastic Surgery, as well as an Assistant Professor at UTHSC – Houston Department of Orthodontics where she teaches alongside Drs. Johnson and Hanigan. She is a Board Certified orthodontist and is one of two orthodontists employed by Texas Children’s Hospital to take care of children with cleft palates and other craniofacial anomalies, from birth until early adulthood.
Dr. Hanigan has been friends with Dr. Rodgers’ family for over 15 years and he had the privilege of being one of her instructors through her orthodontic residency. Dr. Rodgers is a brilliant scholar with numerous academic awards and multiple scientific publications to her credit. But more importantly, she is a compassionate, empathetic person who has a genuine passion for orthodontics and for doing her best for those in her care.
Dr. Rodgers is married to Tyler Rodgers and together they have a beautiful baby boy named Noah, who just celebrated his first birthday. A couple fun facts about Dr. Rodgers are that she was born in Brighton, England, and her and Tyler love to race cars that Tyler restores in his free time. Drs. Hanigan and Johnson both know Dr. Rodgers personally and give her their highest recommendation. She is an excellent practitioner with a servants heart who cares deeply for her patients.
